Bournemouth to welcome over 20,000 people

Celebrating 10 years of the very best in British Cheerleading, Future Cheer will be bringing thousands of cheerleaders to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) for the UK’s National Cheerleading competition which is being held in the town on 12-13 July 2014.

Returning to the BIC for the fifth year running, this national competitive cheerleading event, organised by Future Cheer, attracts thousands of athletes along with their supporters to showcase the nation’s top cheerleading talent.

Future Cheer Directors Ian and Tessa Crow said,

“The whole team at the Bournemouth International Centre work closely with us throughout the year to plan this event and Bournemouth is a highlight in the cheerleading calendar. Bournemouth is a fantastic town with a wide range of accommodation and there is always lots to do for the whole family; that’s why we, our athletes and their supporters love coming back.”

Pat Coyne, BH Live Director of Venues added,

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming Future Cheer back to the Bournemouth International Centre next week. Over 20,000 people are expected into town during the course of the weekend to enjoy a lively, energetic and exciting competition alongside all that our fantastic resort has to offer. As a result, visitors are estimated to use up to 52,000 bednights and generate in the region of £6.5million of economic benefit into the local economy.”
