Celebrity chef James Martin creates Dorset delights

The Bournemouth International Centre recently hosted a themed familiarisation visit for conference and exhibition organisers to experience the very best in south coast hospitality.

Integrity Events, NHS Providers and British Dermatological Nursing Group attended a packed programme of activities.

Highlights included a tour of the Bournemouth International Centre, a stay at the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott and Norfolk Hotel, cookery demonstration by celebrity chef James Martin, followed by a gourmet lunch at Chewton Glen.

Hampers filled with Dorset’s finest produce were also included in the experience.

Ben Mutton, Sales Manager at the Bournemouth International Centre (pictured at front) said:

“We and our partners run familiarisation visits to show off our fantastic venues and destination. Bringing thousands of delegates to an event is a serious responsibility, and these visits give an informal opportunity to discuss all we can offer and how we can make our venues work best for our clients”.

Integrity Events organises association and corporate events, both in the UK and around the world. Director Lindsey Whitehouse who came along, says;

“This was a fantastic opportunity to meet up again with the Bournemouth International Centre team to discuss a prospective event programme and get to know the area better. Seeing the venue at first hand is the only way to get a clear idea of what our clients and their delegates will experience. This visit was superb and I was reminded just how professional and supportive the BIC team are, and as well as how good the product at the Bournemouth International Centre is”.

Sarah Shepherd from British Dermatological Nursing Group added:

“We were very impressed with what the Bournemouth International Centre had to offer and it was especially helpful for us to see the venue in the middle of a working day. We had an excellent day seeing the best Bournemouth had to offer too and we are definitely considering the Bournemouth International Centre for future events”.

“It was really great to spend some time with the Bournemouth International Centre team, along with colleagues doing similar roles in other organisations, it resulted in some great conversations about what Bournemouth can offer for conferences and events which you can’t get from a look at a venue website.”

added Carly Holliday, Events and Conferences Manager for NHS Providers.
